Detail of outcome

Overall, the response to the proposed changes to the Child Support Agency quarterly summary statistics (QSS) was positive. The changes were welcomed, and detailed comments were given proposing data refinements.

The response document includes the full text of all the contributions and the department’s response.

The QSS will remain in its current format while work is under way to provide further assurances on the quality of the new information and to develop some of the additional information requested as part of the consultation.

Consultation description

This consultation relates to data published in respect of the 1993 and 2003 schemes administered by the Child Support Agency. We will separately be publishing a publication strategy relating to information on cases administered on the 2012 scheme.

The consultation seeks views on changes to existing tables and proposed new tables, which will incorporate new methodologies and data sources detailed in this paper. Consultation replies will be gathered by the DWP Child Maintenance Group and a response will be released in August 2013.
