Consultation description

We’re consulting on changes to the annual tuition fee cap, together with a range of measures to incentivise innovation and encourage wider provision and take-up of accelerated degrees.

Accelerated degrees give students the opportunity to study the same content and quality of degree as a standard 3-year course over 2 years.

By compressing study into 2 years:

  • the overall cost of a degree is cheaper for the student and higher education provider
  • graduates can enter or return to the workplace a year faster than those studying over 3 years
