The Government received over 150 responses from financial services firms, including banks, building societies, insurance firms, Independent Financial Advisors, exchanges, brokers and related trade associations, as well as consumer representatives.

Detail on the Government’s proposals for reforming the framework of financial regulation in the UK, building on the Government’s earlier consultation A new approach to financial regulation: judgement, focus and stability published on 26 July 2010.
Responses
The Government received over 150 responses from financial services firms, including banks, building societies, insurance firms, Independent Financial Advisors, exchanges, brokers and related trade associations, as well as consumer representatives.
During this period the Government also held several workshops and met with a wide range of representatives from trade associations, consumer groups and other interested parties.
All individual responses, where confidentiality was not requested, have been published.
