Notices to academy trusts and schools to academies in London
Notices issued to academy trusts and local-authority-maintained schools following an Ofsted inspection or failure to engage with targeted regional improvement for standards and excellence (RISE) intervention.
Notices are issued by Dr Vanessa Ogden, Department for Education (DfE) Regional Director for London, to:
- academy trusts following either:
- an Ofsted inspection at an academy
- failure to engage with targeted RISE intervention
- local-authority-maintained schools for:
- failure to engage with targeted RISE intervention
The support and intervention in schools guidance details the action that regional directors may take when schools:
- are underperforming
- have weaknesses in safeguarding, governance or financial management
- fail to engage with RISE intervention
