UK Defence Exports Statistics
Statistics on UK defence exports based on new orders.
The UK Defence Export Statistics publication presents information and trends on UK defence export orders over time.
It focuses on UK defence export orders by destination region and by type of product and service.
Before 2026 this statistical release was published by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
However, after a Machinery of Government change effective 31 July 2025, responsibility for defence exports promotion moved from DBT to the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
The UK Defence and Security Exports (UKDSE) team (now called International Collaboration and Exports), moved to the MOD and it was agreed that MOD would take responsibility for publishing UK Defence Export Statistics.
DBT remain responsible for running the analysis and drafting the 2024 edition of the report, as the process was already advanced at the time of this change.
MOD will take ownership of the full process for the 2025 report and later reports.
