The Section 106 Affordable Housing Clearing Service helps facilitate and accelerate the sale of uncontracted and unsold affordable homes across England.
Housebuilders can use the service to provide details of affordable homes they have planning permission to build, alongside private homes, but have been unable to find a buyer for. This information is then available for registered providers and local authorities to view.
This means greater visibility of opportunities, all in one place, for buyers and sellers to connect, build new partnerships and work together to get affordable homes sold and occupied.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government operates the Section 106 Affordable Housing Clearing Service. The service was previously operated by Homes England.
The service will develop over the coming months and be refined according to user feedback.
