Quinquennial Reviews of the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme
This collection contains Quinquennial Reviews (QQRs) of the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS), QQR updates and related documents.
The Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) is reviewed every 5 years by an independent reviewer through a Quinquennial Review (QQR) to ensure it remains fair, effective, and fit for purpose. The QQR examines how the scheme supports serving personnel and veterans who have suffered injury, illness, or death as a result of their service.
The review considers feedback from stakeholders, including claimants, advocacy groups, and experts, to identify areas for improvement. It evaluates the scheme’s processes, benefits, and overall impact, ensuring it continues to deliver appropriate and meaningful compensation.
The findings and recommendations from the QQR are published in a report, which informs any changes or updates to the scheme. This process reflects the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD’s) commitment to supporting those who serve and have served.
Information on the AFCS and previous QQRs, responses, and updates will be published here.
