Determination of vitamins: a research project

A research project to strengthen the Government Chemist capabilities for the analysis of vitamins.

This research project will strengthen the Government Chemist’s capability for the analysis of vitamins in foods, feeds and supplements to help prevent disputes.

This includes:

  • evaluating the official method for analysing vitamins A and E in feed

  • developing non-microbiological assay methods for the determination of folates, biotin, niacin and B12 in food

This research project runs from 2011 to 2014.
