Crown Premises Fire Inspection Group

The work of the Crown Premises Fire Inspection Group (CPFIG).

The Crown Premises Fire Inspection Group (CPFIG) enforces the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order in Crown premises.

The CPFIG is responsible for:

  • providing business support for Crown bodies on managing fire safety
  • undertaking risk-based inspections of Crown premises
  • investigating compliance following fires and injuries on Crown premises
  • responding to concerns received from authorities and individuals about people at risk from fire
  • consulting over proposed building works
