Lee Howell OBE QFSM FIFireE DL

Biography

Lee is the Chief Inspector of the Crown Premises Fire Safety Inspectorate, jointly leading a team of Inspectors responsible for ensuring appropriate fire safety standards in crown premises in England.

In addition to almost 20 years’ experience as a chief fire officer, Lee held several national roles, including as the chief fire & rescue advisor to the Welsh Government and the President of the Chief Fire Officers Association (the professional body for chief fire officers in the United Kingdom). He was awarded Her Majesty the Queens Fire Service Medal for distinguished service in 2014 and made an OBE in 2020.
