Details

These documents set out the UK’s air quality plan. It will meet our goals of improving the UK’s air quality and public health. The plan fulfils our legal obligations to achieve nitrogen dioxide limit values in the EU Ambient Air Quality Directive (2008/50/EC) in the shortest possible time.

The overview document summarises the policy background and sets out our comprehensive approach to meeting those goals.

The list of UK and national measures identifies the measures that are helping us to meet the limits. This list of measures should be read alongside the individual zone plans for the 38 air quality zones still to meet the nitrogen dioxide limits.

The technical report details the modelling and assessment methodology used for the UK’s air quality plan.
