£200,000 for the Llandyrnog Community Shop
£200,000 was allocated to The Llandyrnog Community Shop Ltd in Denbighshire in December 2022 from the UK Community Ownership Fund.
There has been a shop in the village since 1841 and it has served the community in its current location since 1982 until it closed in 2020. The local residents have also been busy raising funds to buy back the building, with this funding they have ambitious plans to:
- revive the village shop
- save the current Post Office
This will help create a true community hub that serves Llandyrnog and its surrounding areas for years to come.
