Call for evidence description

Hydrogen produced from low carbon sources may have significant potential as a fuel for transport, heat and power generation. Developing an industry-led standard for low carbon hydrogen could help develop a market for it amongst consumers specifically seeking ways of reducing their carbon footprint. DECC is working with industry to develop this Standard.

This Call for Evidence asks for views on what constitutes ‘green’ in the context of this standard and seeks evidence on the energy system boundary implications, thresholds and technologies the Standard should cover. We would welcome responses from industry, academia, NGOs and any other interested parties.
