The government is seeking evidence on the environmental, animal health and welfare impacts of gamebird rearing, release and shooting in England.
This call for evidence aims to improve the evidence base by gathering information on both positive and negative impacts, including on:
- biodiversity
- protected sites and habitats
- biosecurity
- disease risk
- wildlife crime
- animal welfare
- any other affected areas
This call for evidence does not make policy proposals or prejudge future regulation. Responses will help inform any potential next steps.
