1. Temporary Event Notice

If you wish to hold an event in England or Wales that involves licensable activities (alcohol, entertainment or late night refreshment), you must give a temporary event notice (TEN) to the local licensing authority where the premises is based no later than ten working days before the event, excluding the day of the event and the day that the licensing authority and the police receive your TEN. You must be at least 18 years of age to give a TEN and can give a maximum of five (5) TENs per calendar year. If you are a personal licence holder, you can give a maximum of fifty (50) TENs per calendar year. Your event must involve no more than 499 people at any one time, including staff and performers, and last no more than one hundred and sixty-eight (168) consecutive hours with a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours between events. Please note: application fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or submission error
