Apply for this licence
You need a licence to load, unload, or handle explosive materials in a port.
You can apply for a licence if:
- you represent a harbour authority
- you are a berth operator
- you have an interest in the activities involved
If your port is in England, Scotland, or Wales you need a licence from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
If your port is in Northern Ireland you need a licence from the Northern Ireland Office (NIO).
