The Regulated Products (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

The purpose of this Statutory Instrument is to ensure Northern Ireland legislation relating to regulated food and feed products (such as genetically modified foods, additives, flavourings etc.) continues to operate effectively after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union.

Sifting committees’ recommendation

The sifting committees agreed with the government that this statutory instrument does not have to have a debate in parliament, though one may still occur.
