Background
Advanz Pharma Limited are recalling the specified batches of Mynzepli 40 mg/mL solution for injection in pre-filled syringe as a precautionary measure because a small variation in the size of the finger grip could affect how the medicine is administered and potentially pose a risk to patient safety. The finger grip/flange provides a platform/surface for better grip of the syringe. It allows the user to securely hold the pre-filled syringe while applying pressure to the plunger rod during product administration.
Advice for Healthcare Professionals:
Stop supplying the above batches immediately. Quarantine all remaining stock and return it to your supplier using your supplier’s approved process.
Advanz Pharma have confirmed that other unaffected batches of Mynzepli 40 mg/mL solution for injection in pre-filled syringe are currently available for distribution.
