Summary
---
- The 3,936 responses contributing to these results were submitted between 23rd April and 25th May 2020.
- Responses to the DCMS (2369 responses) and YouGov (1567 responses) surveys have been merged to create one final dataset.
- The YouGov sample consisted of senior decision makers in specific business sectors. Fieldwork was undertaken between 30th April and 25th May 2020. The survey was carried out online.
- The DCMS survey also targetted responses from specific business sectors. Fieldwork ran from 23rd April to 22nd May. The survey was carried out online.
- Please contact Sean.Kearney@dcms.gov.uk or Shamraze.Mahmood@dcms.gov.uk if you have any questions or would like to discuss the results in more detail.
- Results for sub-sectors do not necessarily sum to the total. This is caused by the exclusion of certain sub-sectors from these results due to a small sample size.
- Respondents opt-in to complete the survey. As a result, some self-selection bias may be present. Therefore, responses are illustrative and they should be treated with caution; results reflect the characteristics of those who responded and not necessarily the wider business population.
- Note that in the original release of this data (17/6/20), the Yes and No for the Mitigating Actions question were incorrectly labelled. This has been corrected as of 19/06/20.
