CMA FNTQ decision announced
11 July 2014: The CMA has today decided that the completed acquisition by Oasis Dental Care (Central) Limited of Apex Holding Limited does not qualify for investigation under the merger provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002. The full text of the decision is available below:
Revocation of initial enforcement order
24 June 2014: In view of Oasis’s submissions on the disproportionality of the initial enforcement order and the evidence available to the CMA at this stage, the CMA revoked the initial enforcement order. A copy of the revocation order is available below:
24 June 2014: The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is considering whether it is or may be the case that this transaction has resulted in the creation of a relevant merger situation under the merger provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002 and, if so, whether the creation of that situation has resulted, or may be expected to result, in a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the United Kingdom for goods or services.
Launch of CMA merger inquiry
23 June 2014: The parties submitted a notification of the completed merger to the CMA. The CMA considered the parties’ notification to be a complete merger notice.
Initial enforcement order
19 May 2014: An Initial Enforcement Order under Section 72(2) of the Enterprise Act 2002 was put in place against The Oasis Healthcare Group Limited and Oasis Dental Care (Central) Limited by the CMA.
