Revocation of initial enforcement order

24 June 2014: In view of Oasis’s submissions on the disproportionality of the initial enforcement order and the evidence available to the CMA at this stage, the CMA revoked the initial enforcement order. A copy of the revocation order is available below:

Invitation to comment: Now closed

24 June 2014: The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is considering whether it is or may be the case that this transaction has resulted in the creation of a relevant merger situation under the merger provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002 and, if so, whether the creation of that situation has resulted, or may be expected to result, in a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the United Kingdom for goods or services.

Launch of CMA merger inquiry

23 June 2014: The parties submitted a notification of the completed merger to the CMA. The CMA considered the parties’ notification to be a complete merger notice.

Initial enforcement order

19 May 2014: An Initial Enforcement Order under Section 72(2) of the Enterprise Act 2002 was put in place against The Oasis Healthcare Group Limited and Oasis Dental Care (Central) Limited by the CMA.
