VINT - Veterans In Need Together
We, the undersigned, commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.
The Armed Forces Covenant
An enduring covenant between the people of the United Kingdom, Her Majesty’s Government and all those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown and their families
The first duty of Government is the defence of the realm. Our Armed Forces fulfil that responsibility on behalf of the Government, sacrificing some civilian freedoms, facing danger and, sometimes, suffering serious injury or death as a result of their duty. Families also play a vital role in supporting the operational effectiveness of our Armed Forces. In return, the whole nation has a moral obligation to the members of the Naval Service, the Army and the Royal Air Force, together with their families. They deserve our respect and support, and fair treatment.
Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services. Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.
This obligation involves the whole of society: it includes voluntary and charitable bodies, private organisations, and the actions of individuals in supporting the Armed Forces. Recognising those who have performed military duty unites the country and demonstrates the value of their contribution. This has no greater expression than in upholding this Covenant.

-
We are dedicated to expanding our reach and invite companies, community groups, and stakeholders to work with us in supporting those who have served. We conduct regular check-ins to monitor how individuals are coping and provide practical support where needed.
-
Assistance with arranging and attending medical or healthcare appointments Organising walks and social meet-ups to promote physical activity and reduce isolation Providing ongoing encouragement to help members stay active, motivated, and connected Our approach ensures that support extends beyond the group setting, helping members maintain stability and improve their overall quality of life.
-
We are establishing a dedicated support network for families of veterans. This network will offer a confidential environment where family members can access peer support, guidance, and resources. Our aim is to equip families with the tools to support their veteran effectively while also prioritising their own wellbeing and resilience.
-
We recognise that veteran wellbeing is strengthened by family involvement. All initiatives outside our Wednesday evening support groups, including social activities, community projects, and outreach events, are open to family members. By fostering an inclusive environment, we are working to build a stronger, more connected veteran community.
-
Many veterans experience isolation when transitioning from military to civilian life. To combat this, we host monthly social clubs and a variety of community activities. These events encourage members to connect with others, rebuild social confidence, and improve overall mental wellbeing.
-
By fostering regular social interaction, we help veterans re-establish a sense of camaraderie and belonging, which plays a key role in long-term mental health and successful integration into civilian life.
-
We deliver presentations to businesses to improve understanding of the challenges veterans face when transitioning to civilian life, particularly in relation to mental health. These sessions provide practical guidance on how organisations can better support veteran employees and create a more inclusive workplace.
-
In addition, these visits offer a valuable opportunity to engage directly with any veterans within the company, ensuring they are aware of the support services and peer networks available to them.
-
At VINT, support is available to members 24/7. In addition to our group and community services, we provide all VINT members with access to one-to-one support delivered by a fully qualified therapist.
-
This ensures members can receive professional, confidential assistance whenever it is needed, complementing our peer-led support structure
2.2 We will publicise these commitments through our literature and/or on our website, setting out how we will seek to honour them and inviting feedback from the Service community and our customers on how we are doing.
