Resilient Minds Education

We, the undersigned, commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.

The Armed Forces Covenant

An enduring covenant between the people of the United Kingdom, Her Majesty’s Government and all those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown and their families

The first duty of Government is the defence of the realm. Our Armed Forces fulfil that responsibility on behalf of the Government, sacrificing some civilian freedoms, facing danger and, sometimes, suffering serious injury or death as a result of their duty. Families also play a vital role in supporting the operational effectiveness of our Armed Forces. In return, the whole nation has a moral obligation to the members of the Naval Service, the Army and the Royal Air Force, together with their families. They deserve our respect and support, and fair treatment.

Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services. Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.

This obligation involves the whole of society: it includes voluntary and charitable bodies, private organisations, and the actions of individuals in supporting the Armed Forces. Recognising those who have performed military duty unites the country and demonstrates the value of their contribution. This has no greater expression than in upholding this Covenant.

To achieve this, we will actively promote awareness of veteran-friendly initiatives such as GP practice accreditation and the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance, while signposting dedicated services including Op COUR-AGE for mental health support and Op RESTORE for physical rehabilitation. We will work collaboratively with healthcare providers, local authorities, and charities to embed Armed Forces-friendly practices across systems, champion priority treatment pathways, and encourage professional training that fosters understanding of military culture and the challenges of transitioning to civilian life.

  • Mental Health Support: At Resilient Minds Education, we prioritise the mental health and well-being of Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and their families. We recognise that mental health is fundamental to overall well-being, and we are committed to providing support, resources, and referrals to appropriate services. Our approach focuses on early recognition and prevention. Through social media and other educational outputs, we aim to raise awareness and equip communities with the ability to identify early signs of mental health challenges. We are also dedicated to reducing waiting times for service personnel and their families to access professional mental health care. To support this, we will reinvest profits into alternative therapies such as surfing, climbing, and hill walking offering holistic options alongside traditional treatment. As a veteran-owned business, we under-stand the unique mental strain that service life places on individuals and their loved ones. Resilient Minds Education was founded to be a force for positive change, ensuring that whether you are serving, transitioning, or a family member, you have access to the tools and support needed for mental resilience.

  • Advocacy and Awareness: We will actively champion the health and wellbeing of the Armed Forces community by promoting understanding of their unique physical, psychological, and social challenges, highlighting their invaluable contributions to society, and driving positive change in healthcare policy and practice. Through strategic partnerships with charities, veteran networks, and healthcare providers, we will amplify our message and advocate for improved access to mental health support and inclusive workplace wellbeing programs. Our efforts will include public awareness campaigns, educational resources, and engagement with policymakers to challenge stigma, foster empathy, and ensure the needs of serving personnel, veterans, and their families are recognized and addressed within both the healthcare system and the wider community.

  • Collaboration and Partnership: We are dedicated to building strong partnerships with leading organisations, mental health professionals, and the Armed Forces to enhance the support available to those who have served. Through this collaborative approach, we aim to deliver comprehensive, accessible, and high-quality mental health services that promote resilience, wellbeing, and a successful transition to civilian life. By combining expertise and resources, we will create a robust network of care that ensures every veteran receives the support they deserve.

  • Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuous improvement in the care and support provided to the Armed Forces community by actively engaging with service members, veterans, and their families to understand their evolving needs. We will seek regular feedback through consultations and surveys, benchmark against best practices, and invest in staff training to enhance cultural competence and mental health awareness. By collaborating with trusted partners across healthcare, education, and community sectors, and by monitoring and evaluating outcomes for ac-countability, we aim to deliver responsive, inclusive, and evidence-based services that empower the Armed Forces community to thrive during and after service.

2.2 We will publicise these commitments through our literature and/or on our website, setting out how we will seek to honour them and inviting feedback from the Service community and our customers on how we are doing.
