Bird flu: third premises near Dartington, South Hams, Devon (AIV 2022/156)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in poultry on 24 October 2022.

24 January 2023: following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zone, the 10km surveillance zone has been revoked.

13 January 2023: following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zones, the 3km protection zone has ended and the area that formed the protection zone is now part of the 10km surveillance zone.

All poultry on the premises have been humanely culled.

This revokes:

Declaration of the ending of a Protection Zone (Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza) near Dartington, South Hams, Devon made at 18.30 on 24 October 2022 and the area that formed that Protection Zone becomes part of the Surveillance Zone (PDF).

This revokes and replaces:
