Judicial Summary
The First Respondent failed to disclose information within a time limit set by the First-tier Tribunal. The First-tier Tribunal certified the case to the Upper Tribunal for consideration of contempt of court. The First Respondent then disclosed the information, accepting its failure to do so earlier was a contempt of court. The Upper Tribunal accepted the concession of the First Respondent that it had been in contempt of court, and made that finding. The Upper Tribunal determined that a sanction was appropriate, and imposed a fine of £15,000, as well as ordering publication of its decision containing the finding of contempt.
