Vans RV-9A, G-HUMH
During the flare, following a normal approach onto Runway 25 at Shoreham, the aircraft contacted the ground suddenly. The aircraft bounced several times before tipping onto the nose, damaging the nose landing gear and propeller, before righting itself. Both occupants were uninjured. The pilot commented that the in advertent ground contact was due to an unseen undulation in the grass runway surface.
