Summary:

The two pilots travelled together by car to Newcastle International Airport with the intention of flight testing Seneca G-BMUT. A number of repairs had been carried out on the aircraft since it had last flown, including the replacement of the nose-wheel centering spring assembly and work on a number of the cockpit instruments.
