Ikarus C42 FB80 Ikarus, G-CDYT

Summary:

The aircraft was approaching to land on Runway 22 at Swansea Airport when a “strong crosswind component” from the left caught the pilot off-guard. While he was trying to correct the drift in the landing flare the aircraft stalled, resulting in a heavy landing and damage to the nose landing gear and propeller. The pilot was uninjured.
