Cessna 208 Caravan I (floatplane), G-MDJE
Since publication of this report, new and important information has come to light. The investigation has been re-opened and an amended report will be published in due course.
Whilst flying over part of Glasgow at 1,200 ft, the left float water rudder fell from the aircraft due to a failure of its attachment post. The damage to the attachment post was consistent with the rudder having struck a submerged object.
