Science and innovation underpin the economies of both Colombia and the UK.

SIN Colombia promotes deep science and innovation collaboration between the UK and Colombia.

The Science and Innovation Network (SIN) is based in over 40 countries and territories around the world. We engage with the local science & innovation stakeholders in support of UK policy overseas and create strategic partnerships to harness the value of science & innovation discoveries and investments overseas, leading to mutual UK and host-country benefits.

Since 2014 through the Newton Fund, scientific collaboration, research and innovation have increasingly developed to promote socioeconomic growth of Colombia. International collaboration enables opportunities to work together, exchange experiences and best practices, build capacity, among others, leading to mutual benefits for the UK and Colombia.

To promote international collaboration, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office jointly fund the UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN), based in 40 countries around the world.
