Opening hours

The embassy is currently open for business. We provide consular assistance 24/7, but we ask consular clients to note that visitor access to the embassy is by appointment only. To make an appointment, use our contact form.

Getting to the embassy

The British Embassy in Prague is located at 14 Thunovska Street in Prague 1.

By underground

The nearest metro station is Malostranska (line A). It is 0.5 miles from the metro station to the Embassy. The station has escalators but does not have level access.

By tram or bus

The nearest tram stop, Malostranské náměstí, is served by trams number 12, 15, 20, 22, 23 and the night tram number 97. Accessible trams operate on all these lines.

The nearest bus stop, Malostranské náměstí, is served by bus number 194. Buses with wheelchair access operate on this route.

The tram and bus stop is 0.2 miles from the embassy.

By car

There is no parking available for consular clients so we recommend using public transport or taxi.

Disabled access

The nearest tram stop to the Embassy (Malostranské náměstí) is serviced by accessible trams. The nearest metro station (Malostranská) does not have level access. The Embassy is located on a steep hill and the terrain is cobbled and uneven. If you require assistance getting to the Embassy, please contact us. The Consular Section of the Embassy building does have level access.
