If you qualify for the discount, you’ll have received a letter by 16 December 2016 telling you that either:
- you don’t have to apply - you’ll get the discount automatically
- you need to apply by 28 February 2017 - you won’t receive the discount for winter 2016 to 2017 if you missed this deadline
Your electricity supplier will apply the discount to your bill by the end of April 2017.
