Use this service to apply to vote by proxy in certain elections in the UK. You and your proxy must both be registered to vote in the UK.
If you aren’t able to cast your vote in person, you can have someone you trust cast your vote for you in a particular election or referendum.
If you can’t vote in person due to a medical emergency or disability and the proxy vote deadline has passed, you may be able to apply to vote by emergency proxy.
If you're a British citizen living overseas, then you can apply to vote by proxy.
If you're a Crown servant, British Council employee or their spouse or civil partner, you can apply to vote by proxy.
If you can’t vote in person due to a disability, then you can apply to vote by proxy.
If your employment or your spouse or civil partner’s employment means that you cannot vote in person, then you can apply to vote by proxy.
If you can’t vote in person, someone can vote for you. You can tell them who to vote for. This is called a proxy vote.
If you or your spouse or civil partner are attending an educational course that means you won't be able to vote in person, then you can vote by proxy.
If you're a member of the armed forces or their spouse or civil partner, you can apply to vote by proxy.
