Youth training, Chile and Argentina.
Abstract
To address the problem of youth unemployment, the decision was made to design and implement special training schemes specifically oriented to young people who had deserted the educational system at an early age. The schemes were called 'Chile Joven' in Chile and 'Proyecto Joven' in Argentina. The objectives, lessons learned, background, details, implementation, impacts, and factors contributing to success are outlined.
