Abstract
Tractor sharing via rental markets has the potential to achieve economies of scale, enabling smallholder farmers’ access to mechanisation and increasing productivity. This brief explores the benefits and frictions on the rental market using georeferenced records from a digital tractor sharing platform in Kenya and Nigeria.
