Abstract
This report contains the proceedings of the workshop on the DFID-funded Urban Families under Pressure in Kenya and Impact of HIV/AIDS research project, which was held by the research team, Ms Wendy Taylor and Dr. Harrison Maithya, with members of the project’s local reference group and other invited guests. The main purpose of the workshop was to disseminate and share the key findings and conclusions of the research but also to explore the policy implications thereof with a view to identifying practical courses of action by which to address the latter.
The report provides first a summary of the workshop presentations, which were based on a research summary paper circulated at the commencement of the workshop, and, secondly, a synthesis of the deliberations and contributions of all those present. It constitutes a complementary report to the full report on the research study, which was made available at the workshop.
