Protocol for an overview of systematic reviews

Abstract

This is the protocol for an overview of systematic reviews to enable policy makers to identify those contraceptive methods (or range of contraceptive methods) likely to be most successful in the context of a particular country or region. The overview will assess the impact of various contraceptive methods and mixes of contraceptive methods on contraceptive prevalence, unwanted and unintended pregnancies, and on unmet need for family planning in developing countries/regions. The protocol provides background information and details of the methods to be used.
