Abstract

This report presents the results of a survey of capacity assessment of government to enable and regulate the private sector and capacity of private sector to handle rural water provision services. The purpose of this Country Report is to have an effective participation of the rural-based small scale private sector in rural water supply service provision being enhanced through the production and dissemination of best practice guidelines. The survey was carried out in the Dodoma Rural and Mpwapwa districts in Dodoma region of Tanzania.
