Abstract

This presentation, part of an event held at the United States Congress, outlines the problem of AIDS (in both Africa and the USA), in particular among women; the development of interventions, in particular vaginal microbicides; and the resources from industry and government (including the US government) available for microbicide research, and the need for further funding.
