Natural resource management and policy in Uganda: overview paper. Working Paper 3.
Abstract
The overall goal of the project is for it to assist in the development of more effective, equitable and sustainable participatory management of renewable natural resources in sub-Saharan Africa. The purpose of the research is to identify the links between the sustainability of different farming systems and agricultural policy in South Africa and Uganda.
This document begins with an overview of natural resource management, then continues with chapters entitled: dynamics and constraints in land use and management, perspectives on the sustainability of land use and managment, the policy and institutional framework for land use and management: goals and performance, and is followed by methods and conclusion.
