Abstract

This case study explores the applicability of DFID's Sustainable Livelihoods framework and approach to energy infrastructure projects. Specifically, the case study looks at the proposed installation of a 14 kilowatt micro-hydropower scheme in the village of Mbuiru in the Eastern Province of Kenya.
