Abstract

This report describes results of a project implemented over a period of 18 months (May 2004 - October 2005) in Eastern and Central Africa under the auspices of ASARECA. The report is divided into four chapters, which are supported by six appendixes (I - VI) and two major annexes (B and C). The introduction section provides a brief description of the justification, project objectives and a summary of the literature review which is presented in more details in Annex C.
