Abstract

The authors examine what happened to 3 interventions that supported pastoralists in Turkana, Kenya, 6 years after a project closed. The interventions were: establishing village savings and loan associations (VSLAs); improving water supply; and supporting livestock marketing.

This work is part of the Supporting Pastoralism and Agriculture in Recurrent and Protracted Crises  (SPARC) programme.
