Abstract
This document represents the final report of NRSP project R7514, 'Development of monitoring process and indicators for forest management, Nepal', which aimed to develop and assess participatory approaches to managing common pool resources for sustaining livelihoods. The report describes the projects activities and outputs, most notably the development of a methodology for improving forest users' monitoring systems at the local level. The report also provides interesting reflection on the use of participatory methods.
