Development of low-cost technologies for pyramiding useful genes from wild relatives of cassava into elite progenitors.

Abstract

This project seeks to identify useful genes for pest and disease resistance, and post-harvest deterioration in cassava and to develop low cost marker tools for their rapid introgression into cassava. Outputs from the first 6 months are outlined.
