Cost of Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation Methodology for DFID Ghana Business Enabling Reform Programme

Report in support of the Ghana Business Enabling Environment Programme, undertaken for DFID Ghana

Abstract

This was the conclusion report from the first phase of a programme of work in support of the Ghana Business Enabling Environment Programme (BEEP), undertaken for DFID Ghana though the Business Environment Reform Facility.

The research and fieldwork of the assignment indicated that compliance cost methodology (CCM) is an appropriate way to aggregate the results of the regulatory reforms that Ghana BEEP is trying to achieve. Compliance cost methodology (CCM) is an approach to measuring one type of costs associated with a new or modified regulation.

This research is part of the Business Environment for Economic Development programme.
