Abstract

This briefing suggests ways in which key macroeconomic and structural policies can promote child wellbeing. It focuses on the impact of growth on childhood poverty and makes recommendations on trade liberalisation, inflation and control of budget deficits that should enable greater investment in children and avoid undermining poor families' livelihoods.
