Abstract
This is the protocol for a systematic review based on the question 'What are the impacts of capacity strengthening interventions on the capacity and performance of regional and national agricultural research systems, and the conditions for success?'
The systematic review is part of a larger study which reviews evidence from capacity strengthening interventions and programmes, and capacity strengthening components of other agricultural and rural development programmes.
