Abstract

This sheet presents the most recent estimates of key population, health, and environment indicators for all countries in Northern and sub-Saharan Africa. Main headings are: Africa's Population Age Structure; Fertility Decline in Africa, 1980s to 2005; Increase in Contraceptive Use; Infant Mortality by Mother's Education; Population Living on Less Than US$2 per Day; and Net Enrollment in Primary and Secondary School.
