You must register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to practice as a prosthetist in the UK.
You can only call yourself a prosthetist if you’re registered with the HCPC.
Fines and penalties
You could be fined up to £5,000 if you call yourself an prosthetist and you’re not registered with the HCPC.
