Summary

In addition to the raw material requirements for Reserva wines, in the winemaking process of Gran Reserva wines, no less than one hundred and forty kilograms (140 kg) of grapes shall be used as per one hundred litres (100 l.) of wine. Red Gran Reserva wines shall have a minimum ageing period of eighteen (18) months as of the moment they are oenologically stable, whereas for white and rosé Gran Reserva wines, the ageing period shall be no less than twelve (12) months. In the case of blends made from wines of different production years, each of the wines shall have complied with the minimum ageing time periods set forth above.
